TOGETHER WE CAN VANADZOR & GYUMRI

Tovmasyan Foundation started an unprecedented charity initiative "Together We Can" to support the healthcare system against COVID-19 pandemic. On May 2 the project launched and till today continues its activities not only within Armenia, but throughout the world. More than a hundred international stars have joined the initiative from more than 4 continents around the world.

The Foundation has received applications from Vanadzor and Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospitals and the Independent Council has decided to direct collected amounts firstly to the regions, who needed our help the most. More than 50 million drams from the collected sum were provided to the regional hospitals in order to buy the necessary equipment. The first destination was Lori region. Thanks to the foundation, Vanadzor Infectious Hospital was equipped with a new immunosuppressive diagnostic equipment of Roche Swiss brand production, necessary beds for patients, as well as a centralized oxygen supply system.

The provision of such equipment is extremely necessary to save lives of patients in the regions. The significance of this initiative was doubled, when we saw excitement and gratitude in the eyes of doctors. The director of the Vanadzor Infectious Diseases Hospital and the entire medical staff were grateful to the Foundation for such an initiative and particularly for their great support during these hard times.

The next destination was Gyumri. According to the received application, The Foundation has provided the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital with a new Swiss Roche Cobas E 411 immunoenzymatically diagnostic device and patient monitor.

By the way, only two large hospitals in Yerevan are equipped with such equipment, and in fact, Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital is the third. The Governor of Shirak Tigran Petrosyan has hosted the representatives of the Foundation headed by the Board of Trustees Artak Tovmasyan. He was grateful for such a useful and important initiative. "I want to thank the Tovmasyan Foundation for supporting our region in the fight against the epidemic.

At this stage, such support is very important for us, as this diagnostic equipment will be really important in terms of increasing the efficiency of Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital.” The diagnostic device allows immunological tests to be performed on various infections, including coronavirus infection. It is undeniable, that such devices can save the lives of hundreds of patients. The Mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan also welcomed and thanked for such a great, enormous charitable project held by Tovmasyan Foundation. This is an inexplicable feeling of pride, when we see the result of our hard work, kindness and unity. Yes, one more time we proved that "Together We Can", that kindness knows no borders.
